CurbMuseThis policy explains what CurbMuse (curbmuse.com) collects when you use our AI exterior design, paint visualizer and landscape design tools, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: hello@curbmuse.com.
What we collect
- Your Google account basics. When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, profile photo link and Google account ID. We don't get your Google password or access to anything else in your Google account.
- Photos you upload. Your browser shrinks each photo before sending it. We pass it to our AI provider to make your design or find your walls, and send the result straight back to your browser. We don't save your photos or results on our servers.
- Credits and usage. Your credit balance and a record of each change: the 3 free sign-up credits, each design or scan, refunds and purchases, with the time.
- Network information. Your IP address is used to deliver the site and stop abuse. When an account is created we store a one-way, keyed hash of the sign-up IP (not the IP itself) to limit how many free accounts one network can create.
- Purchases. When paid plans are available, payments are handled by our payment provider, which acts as the merchant of record. We never see your card number; we receive the order details (such as your email, what you bought and the amount) so we can add your credits.
Cookies and browser storage
We use one sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days, and a short-lived cookie during Google sign-in to keep it secure. While you sign in, your browser's session storage briefly holds the photo you uploaded so it's still there when you come back; it is cleared right after. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Who processes your data
We use these service providers, only to run CurbMuse:
- Cloudflare: hosting, security and our database (accounts, sessions and credit records).
- Google: sign-in.
- fal.ai: runs the AI models that edit and analyze your photos. We request results in a mode that returns them directly instead of storing them in our fal.ai request history. fal.ai may pass the image to the model's maker to run it (for example Google for Gemini image models). Their own policies apply to that processing.
- Our payment provider (merchant of record), once paid plans launch.
We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
- Account details and credit records: while your account exists.
- Sign-in sessions: up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
- Photos and AI results: not stored by us.
We may keep purchase records longer where tax or accounting law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data. Email hello@curbmuse.com from the address you sign in with and we'll handle it within 30 days. You can also remove CurbMuse's access in your Google account settings at any time. Depending on where you live (for example California or the EU), you may have further rights under local law; we'll honor them.
Children
CurbMuse is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top, and for important changes we'll tell signed-in users before they take effect.
