CurbMuseCurbMuse creates AI previews of house exteriors, paint colors and landscaping from photos you upload. This policy applies to everything you upload or type and everything the AI generates for you. It is part of our Terms of Service.
What CurbMuse is for
Photos of houses, yards and gardens, and notes about how you'd like them to look. The tools are built for homes, not people: please don't upload photos where a person is the subject.
Prohibited content
You may not use CurbMuse to upload, request or generate any of the following:
- Pornography or sexual content (NSFW), including nudity.
- Violence or gore, including content that threatens or glorifies harm.
- Hate speech or content that attacks people for who they are.
- Child-unsafe content: any sexual or exploitative content involving minors (CSAM). Zero tolerance; we report it to the authorities.
- Deepfakes or impersonation: face swaps, "nudify" edits, putting real people into scenes, or making a real person appear to say or do something they didn't, whether or not they consent.CurbMuse has no such features and you may not try to use it for them.
- Copyright or trademark infringement: don't upload images you don't have the right to use, or ask for designs that copy protected brands, logos or artwork.
Also not allowed: trying to get around our safety checks, spamming the service or abusing free credits, and passing AI designs off as real photos where that would mislead someone (for example in a property listing).
Your uploads
Only upload photos you took yourself or have permission to use. Don't upload photos of other people without their consent. If a person appears in the background of a house photo, that's fine; making them the subject of an edit is not.
How we moderate
- Before generation: notes you type are checked against our own list of blocked words, which we keep updating as we see new kinds of misuse, and then by Waffo Prompt Sift, a content-safety service. Blocked notes are never sent to the AI model, and no credit is used.
- After generation: every AI result is checked by an image safety classifier before you see it. Results that fail are not shown and the credit is refunded.
- Model safeguards: the AI models we use (Google Nano Banana / Gemini 2.5 Flash Image for designs, Meta SAM 3 for finding walls) have their own built-in safety filters.
- Human review: we review reports and flagged activity ourselves.
- Records: we keep a record of every check (the note you typed, or the safety score of a result, and the verdict) and of our review decisions for 12 months, so we can look into reports and enforce this policy.
Reporting a problem
If you see content that breaks this policy, or think your rights were infringed, email hello@curbmuse.com with "Report" in the subject and what happened. We confirm reports within 2 business days and handle reports about child safety right away. Reports are kept confidential.
What we do about violations
- Remove the content and refuse further requests like it.
- Warn you, or limit or suspend your account.
- Close the account permanently, without refunding remaining credits, for serious or repeated violations.
- Report illegal content, especially anything involving minors, to the authorities.
Appeals
If you think we got it wrong, email hello@curbmuse.com within 30 days with "Appeal" in the subject. We'll review it and reply within 10 business days.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. We'll update the date at the top and tell signed-in users about important changes.
